Good evening! Excellencies, Distinguished Guests, Ladies and Gentlemen,
Thank you very much for inviting me to join this special occasion.
I would like to thank Mr. Luu Meng, all star chefs, partners and sponsors for having done great effort in publishingCambodia’s Top Tables and celebrating its launching today.
This book is well-designed and unexpected of its high standard and variety of food and wine across the country.
This book is also very important for our tourism stakeholders especially for hoteliers and restauranteurs to create another new product of cuisine in order to serve customers with excellent hospitality, food and beverage service.
In Cambodia, you can taste food at its top 52 restaurants and the recipes created by their talented chefs. From Sihanoukville to Kep, Batttambang to Siem Reap, Koh Kong to Phnom Penh, there is every kind of food to suit every taste, from hamburgers to halal, Michelin-star cuisine to mother’s own recipes that have re-emerged through the mists of time.
Moreover, delegates to the ASEAN Meetings and Conferences have congratulated us on the diversity, creativity and high quality of the food served in our restaurants and first-class hotels. So our chefs, many of whom are in attendance this evening, would be highly appreciated of their culinary arts they have brought to Cambodia.
Our place at the top table, however, has not changed us. We continue to be a nation that prides in its traditional values of honesty, goodwill and a welcome from the heart.
Once again, I would like to thank the authors, panel, photographer, designer and all the sponsors for jointly organizing and publishing this significant book namely Cambodia’s Top Tables. You will find it interesting and experience these kinds of dishes with very unique taste.
I strongly hope that, the Cambodia’s Top Tables will not only help promote Cambodia as a cuisine destination, but also upgrade food and beverage service quality in Cambodia.
