The Cambodia Angkor Air has successfully operated its direct flight between Siem Reap and Preah Sihanouk in 2012 with nearly 7,000 national and international tourists. “Cambodia Angkor Air Company has operated its flights between Siem Reap and Preah Sihanouk provinces in 2012 with some 6,900 national and international guests, of whom 308 are national tourists,” Mr. Seng Kha, Director of Preah Sihanouk Provincial Tourism Department, said.
According to an officer at Preah Sihanouk International Airport, the company has operated its regular flights three times a week. In 2013, the company has planned to expand its flights between Siem Reap and Preah Sihanouk provinces and to Phnom Penh International Airport as well.
The Royal Government of Cambodia has been developing infrastructures to serve tourism sector in Cambodia, which is important for transport national and international guests to relax in costal province of natural tourism site.
In accordance with the Open Sky Policy of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, Preah Sihanouk province has gradually grown in national and international guests because it is a potential province to serve sectors of industry, business, agriculture, tourism and international sea port.
